Upgrade quote
Free upgrade analysis and fixed-price quote
Tell us your current Maximo version and what you are looking for. A senior engineer responds within one business day with a detailed analysis and a fixed-price quote. No obligations, no follow-up pressure.
The seven inputs further down are what move an upgrade number. Send what you have, including the gaps, and every assumption is written into the reply.

Database platform, how bespoke the estate is, integrations and the date driver, in whatever detail you have, produce a more specific reply.
After you submit
Three steps from the form to a measured plan
- 01
A senior engineer reads the estate
The submission is reviewed by a senior MaxIron engineer, not a bid desk. The version path, the awkward steps on an estate like yours, and every assumption we had to make are written into the reply.
Owner Senior MaxIron engineer Typically Same working day
- 02
Analysis and fixed-price quote
A free analysis and fixed-price upgrade quote is delivered within 24 hours of the submission. If the estate should not upgrade this year, that is what the reply says.
Owner Senior MaxIron engineer Typically Within 24 hours
- 03
Trial upgrade when you proceed
If it makes sense to proceed, a trial upgrade on one non-production environment with your real data is delivered within one week. The trial is what turns assumptions into a measured plan.
Owner Upgrade delivery lead Typically Within 1 week of go-ahead
Preparation checklist
Seven inputs that decide whether the number means anything
You do not need all seven to submit. Each statement names the input and what we assume when it is missing.
- 1
Current Maximo version and fix pack are known, or we state the most common route for your version family.
- 2
Database platform and rough size in gigabytes are known, or we assume no vendor conversion and flag it.
- 3
How much of the estate is bespoke (Java, scripts, screen changes) is known even incompletely, or we price a discovery step.
- 4
The integration list exists, with who owns each end, or we assume a small number of internally owned interfaces.
- 5
Environments you have today are listed, or we assume one non-production environment is available for the trial run.
- 6
Where it runs today and where it should run are stated, or we quote a like-for-like move and note hosting change as a separate option.
- 7
The date and what is driving it are named, or we sequence from the earliest sensible start.
If you stopped early
Submit anyway. Every missing statement becomes a written assumption in the reply, which is where a quote moves later.
If every statement held
The 24-hour reply can carry a fixed price against a measured inventory rather than a template range.
The written reply
What the analysis settles in twenty-four hours
Stated in advance so the form is a decision artefact rather than a lead capture.
- Reply window
- 24 hours
- Who writes it
- A senior engineer
- You leave with
- Route, shape and price
- Cost
- None
- If not upgrading
- Wrong form. Use the contact page for hosting or support, or the Health Check for an inherited estate.
- Licensing
- Advice only. IBM entitlement is priced with IBM. We say what your intended shape is likely to consume. See AppPoints and licensing.
From a complete submission. Gaps are answered with stated assumptions, not silence.
The version path, the awkward steps and the assumptions sit in one note you can circulate.
For the scope described. The trial upgrade confirms the number on your data.
The analysis and the fixed-price quote that follows it carry no obligation.
Useful to put in the message field
- Database platform and rough size in gigabytes
- How much of the estate is bespoke, even as an incomplete register
- Integrations and who owns each end
- The date that is already fixed, and what is driving it
Scope of the 24-hour analysis
Four boundaries on what a written reply can settle
Each is named so the quote and the trial upgrade stay distinct.
The trial run is what proves the number
The analysis gives you the route, shape and price for the scope described. The trial upgrade on your real data confirms it, and it sits deliberately early in the engagement for that reason. The upgrade service page sets out the full sequence.
IBM entitlement is priced with IBM
Software licensing is a commercial matter between you and IBM, and AppPoints consumption depends on which applications you deploy and how users are grouped. We tell you what your intended shape is likely to consume and where the common traps sit.
Business change effort stays with your organisation
Training, process redesign, communications and the effort your own people put into testing and sign-off sit with you. We size that effort and carry it in the plan as a named line.
The analysis reflects what the form describes
An undeclared integration, undocumented customisation or unpatched database will change the number. That is why the input checklist exists.
The upgrade analysis, frequently asked
- Why do you need these inputs before quoting?
- A number without them is a template. These seven inputs move an upgrade price: version path, database, bespoke code, integrations, environments, hosting and the date driver. Send what you have; we state the assumption wherever something is missing.
- What if we do not know how much bespoke code we have?
- Most estates do not, and it is the item most likely to move the number. Rather than assume it away we price a discovery step. A partner who quotes firmly over an unknown customisation register is deferring the conversation.
- Is the trial upgrade the same as the upgrade?
- No. The trial takes one non-production environment and your real data through the version move so breaks are found on a rehearsal. It turns assumptions into a measured plan. The upgrade service page sets out the full sequence.
- Does this cover IBM licensing?
- Not directly. Software entitlement is between you and IBM; AppPoints consumption depends on applications and user grouping. We will say what your intended shape is likely to consume and where the traps are. See AppPoints and licensing.
- We are not upgrading. Can you still help?
- Yes, but this is the wrong form. For hosting, support or a general question use the contact page. For a structured read of an inherited estate, start with the Health Check.
Send the form, or start with the service page.
Ready to send it? Back to the form. Not upgrading yet? The upgrade service page explains the full sequence, and extended support covers what to do if you need more time.
